Yay!

I have 17 followers! Lol. That makes me happy. What was my goal? 20? Getting close! It's funny, I'm so excited about 17 followers and some of you have like 900! Haha. But thanks to all my followers for following me! :)

Anyway, how many of you have survived a long deployment? What did you do to keep busy? I feel like I have so many things planned for while the hubby is away but not nearly enough to keep my mind off missing him. I think I'm just thinking too much into this. I know I'll be fine. I'm not the first nor the last military wife that has to go through this. I just don't really know what to expect. I'm going to miss him A LOT. I can't imagine spending every day without him and going to bed every night with out him for months months. Ugh. At least I have something to look forward to,.. him coming back!

Oh no. Stupid deployments... I cant say what I do during deployments but I can what what I do during a super long 2 month underway. I kept busy for the most part between playing on fb (as lame as that sounds) and hanging with friends. I plan to get a job when Ryan deploys and that is REALLLLLLLLLL soon. Like, less then 2 months away. FML. Lol. If you have any questions just ask. Also, I have a blog giving out deployment and long underway tips. I will send you the link :)

Well enjoy the next 2 months with your hubby! Hopefully it doesn't go by too fast for you!

And thanks! Any tips are so helpful! :)

im going through our 2nd deployment right now ... all i can say is stay busy! if you have family around that helps, if not, reach out and make friends. for me, work kept me so busy this time around that the time flew and all of a sudden im counting down less than 3 weeks! the going to bed alone sucks but I had my dog to keep his side of the bed warm! lol good luck!

My best advice wold be STAY BUSY while he's gone. I'm sure that is a huge chunk of advice you'll recieve from military wives but it truly is the best one. As long as you pack those days with fun, friends, and family; the less your mind will be focused on the absense of your husband. Good luck chica! If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm a fellow Navy wife =]

Deployment pretty much sucks! I have been on my own for a couple months now and there are days that fly by and there are days that seem like they will go on forever! I try the busy thing, but always seem to be checking my phone and my email every 5 min (usually less than that but I was giving myself some credit haha) to see if he called or emailed me and I might have missed it for some reason. Hang in there, talk it out or write it out as the case may be. Thats why I started my blog. It was a way for me to write it and for other wives to see, but never told my family or friends so they couldn't say "oh it will fly by" or "that isn't that bad"! I hate that!
